Pediatric Update

It's that time again.....

My girls are growing! way. too. fast!
Lily -Three
Molly -One
Molly turned a ripe ONE year old on December 22 and Lily an oldie, but goodie THREE on December 26!  Our month of December was nothing short of a sh!# show...oh can I say that?  Well it was, okay, and it always will be! I can divulge more into it with another post.

Our trip to the pediatricians was a successful one.  We killed two birds with one stone and had both their check ups together.  Lily was ecstatic about seeing the Doctor.  Who knew?  She listened so well to Dr. Reilly, whom we love so much.  Her gentle voice helps keep the kids calm and she is so patient. So patient, in fact, that Lily decided she wanted to sing the whole song 'Away in a Manger'.  Dr. Reilly sat with a smile and listened to the whole thing.  The entire appointment went surprisingly well!  Welllll, except for the fact that Lily had strep throat and we were unaware.  OOOPS! Sorry for the sore throat Lil, next time how about you tell me you have one, geeeez! Molly, she was healthy, which was the shocking part because I swear that poor girl has lived her life with a stuffy nose.  How normal can that be? Can we say allergies?  As soon as Claritin is an appropriate intervention for my little one she'll take it!

So our stats....

Molly Girl 12 Months
Weight: 21lbs 8oz (50-75%)
Height: 29.5in (50-75%)
Head Circumference: 18.5in (50-75%)
A much smaller babe Molly has proved to be, but I swear she is packing on some weight.  I pretty sure her hobby is eating. I make something, she eats it.  Oh how I love the days of the little ones not being picky eaters! Molly loves a good laugh with Lily.  She enjoys anytime spent with Daddy although is sometimes a Momma's girl! She can say 'uh oh' and shake her head 'no' like a champ. I have tried to replace the 'no' with Eskimo kisses which she has also become very good at!  She's a little bit of trouble which is what Lily likes to call her when Molly heads toward her with a big grin. She says, "Uh oh Mom, here comes Miss Trouble!"    It is quite cute!

that's right girls, I needed a little better of a cheese
 Lily Bear 3 Years Old
Weight: 34lbs
Height: 37in
No head circumference for the big girl. We already know her head is full of smartness!
...even better

The Perfect Storm

Must I write all this out?
December is our Perfect Storm.  Maybe not the true definition of a 'perfect storm' but here is mine.
PER*FECT STORM (noun)  a series of CRAZY events such as Molly's birthday, Lily's birthday, my niece and nephews birthdays and Christmas all in one month.

MOLLY'S ONE!!!

it was a crazy warm day so we decided to take some shots outside!
forever grateful my Memaw and Pop can be around to see my children grow

smash cake, then my attempt at an owl cake, not bad eh?

IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!

she named her Angel
a b-ball hoop from Daddy!

LILY'S THREE!!!!!
the day after Christmas a quick turn around to Lily's birthday. Pump it Up in Leesburg was the perfect place to celebrate!! The kids had a great time!
look here!....yes everyone at the same time!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
the blue men group! no other way I would rather spend my New Years Eve than in a blue snuggie:) We will miss the Bauers as they trek to Rhode Island!!!

It is a storm with tenacious winds of busyness but perfect all at once! Looking forward to our craaaaziness every year!

November 2011

Yea, well maybe a boring title but wait til you see what happened this month.....

I went to Vegas....

I finally traveled to this desirable bachelorette party destination and loved it!! Looking back I can even say that I loved experiencing my worst hangover while there! Why, you ask? Well let's see, I was alone. With no children. In a glorious hotel room bed.
I regret to say that this particular hangover was nowhere near the one you may think of from the popular movie, but more so one like this....  I stayed in bed alllllll day, was almost late for a $300 massage Mike got me for our anniversary, attempted to eat lunch with the friends I was suppose to be spending time with while there but instead quickly returned to our room when my stomach could just not brave ANY food.  The porcelain goddess was my closest friend that day. By nightfall I showered for the second time that day and weathered the awful storm I was still feeling and went to the show 'Zumanity.'  I miraculously felt better once there and enjoyed myself to the FULLEST!  The show was everything I expected and loved.  One of the hightlights of my trip. Needless to say, I am not as young as I once was. Vegas proved to be everything I imagined and I cast no judgments. I would love to return to Vegas under different circumstances (aka not a Bachelorette Party)
A Zumanity character...he was an animal....seriously!
My next trip was the VERY next weekend and one you would not expect to follow a crazy trip to Vegas with.  One may think more recovering would be required but alas, the girls and I traveled to Nags Head for me to run my 1/2 marathon! Go Me!
the beach in the fall=all time favorites
love the love from the Lil
early morning sand digging
its 54 degrees out, why not go for a swim
The Sun rises for our 13.1 miler at the beach
my running partners...I have another pic without the douchebag in the back, but I couldn't resist
Lauren was nervous, but what for??  She did great for her first rodeo!
Lindsey's always all giggles..you make me smile!
it's just a morning run gals...right?

The run was FANTASTIC!!!  The course was beautiful and the weather was the best running weather you could ever ask for!  We had great spectators who cheered us on the whole way which always makes for a better, easier run.  This will definitely be a run I do again.  Dare I even say a 26.2 is on my mind?  We shall see....
Did I mention i LOVE the beach in the fall??
 It makes for great photos
Next stop in November....
We take another trip down i95 south to our state capital, Richmond to see my good friend Meg. In tow, my two girls, my friend Heather and her baby Emma (shown), and my friend Kate.  All these lovely ladies I have worked with at the Fax and we had a girls night with Meg at her super cute house.  My super cool minivan came in use for our roadtrip. Without it we would have been a caravaning down 95 instead of carpooling,

Oh, also in November, my girls get cute.
REAL CUTE!

With Molly almost one, I can hardly believe this time has passed me by!  She crawls everywhere, babbles a lot, and is hands down the happiest, most smiley baby I know!  Her eyes and sweet grin could light up any room. I can never pass up an opportunity to snuggle this sweet babe. She loves being close by Lily and I can foresee a 'monkey see monkey do' in the Molly girl.  Her eating habits come close to mimicking a pig who missed a meal of slop.  Although she only has 4 teeth, there is nothing Miss Molly cannot, or will not eat.  She loves blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries.  She loves, bread, crackers, pasta and cereal. She loves, okay okay, you get the point right?
Lily, well she is almost THREE! What?
Yup, almost three and acting every bit her age!  This is all very good and bad some days.  She has her way with me and Mike!  She is enjoying preschool and all her new friends she has made.  Lily is a jokester and makes Mike and I laugh.  I could not ask for a better big sister in her.  She loves, protects and helps Molly.  Lily gives the best hugs and kisses and it melts my heart when she tells me how much she loves me!  She has her way with words and has come very close to getting me in trouble for repeating the not so nice things.  She loves when I put chapstick or lipstick on, she calls it her 'lipschap'
